World Refugee Day 2025, held June 20 at Big Cottonwood Regional Park, celebrated the resilience, beauty, and diversity of Utah’s refugee community. Designed to foster connection and understanding, the event welcomes thousands of refugees and community members to learn from one another and share a joyful experience. Families enjoyed free children’s activities, cultural performances, global food vendors, and a vibrant multicultural market. With support from Utah Refugee Connection and many partners, the day created a meaningful, family-friendly celebration that honored community strength and cultural richness. Special thanks to Nadine Bahati for capturing the joy, culture, and spirit of the day.
