This amazing artist @jkirkrichards has some stunning religious art! But perhaps even more impressive is his desire to lift, support and mentor others. We love that Kirk Richards is collecting laundry detergent for local refugees in June at his Woodland Hills Studio Tour. Thank you @jkirkrichards!!♥️🙏🏼
We cannot say enough good about @theothersideacademy movers! They helped us with a shipment of laundry detergent donated by @al_slc yesterday. They have helped us move refugee families and have set up and delivered many mattress sets for families who were sleeping on the floor.
We love their hopeful mission and the good they do for us! (The least we can do for them is offer them some of our favorite snacks!)
We are loving all the little ones coming in to get car seats. We identified many families in need of assistance at our Mother’s Day event. We are grateful for all the donations that are meeting those needs.
In addition to many car seats, we gave out 6 strollers and 4 pack n plays just today.
Aren’t these twins adorable?!
We love sharing meaningful ways to LEARN about, SERVE and GIVE to refugees.
Here is an opportunity to LEARN:
41 % of displaced people are below the age of 18.
We have approximately 65,000 refugees in Utah.
Based on this number, there are 26,650 kids making their way in our community that have been through unfathomable experiences. Being kind is always the best response.
HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE who helped with our REFUGEE MOTHERS DRIVE THROUGH event! We served over 300!
Our amazing partners included @kengarff @graniteschools @gsdfamilycenters @taylorsville.cfa @rootshighcharter and YOU, our Serve Refugees community!
If you bought a Mother’s Day gift, car seat or a Brita water pitcher you contributed to making this day amazing. Many of your purchases were in honor of a special mom. We were touched by the notes and tributes you paid to them.
We definitely felt joy this day as we honored the refugees moms, we know, who have been through so much! 🙏🏼♥️
It was a beautiful day!
Please share with anyone who could benefit in knowing that these mothers were treated well!
Volunteers needed for a film camp for refugee teens. Tag people you know who this could be a great fit for and please share!
